History of Greenbank

Over 55 years of family farming in the Lancashire countryside.

Our family has lived at Greenbank for the past 55 years. My great granddad bought the farm in the early 1960s, and it has been our family home ever since.

Over the past five decades we have farmed beef and sheep here, working the land and building a deep connection with the English countryside. We share a love for animals and nature that has been passed down through the generations.

Over the years we have seen the farm grow and evolve from a traditional working farm to accommodate a riding school, livery yard, and eventually our dog kennels and cattery. Each new chapter has grown naturally from our passion for animals and our desire to make the most of this beautiful corner of Lancashire.

Our livery yard is located next to the farmhouse, which is still our family home today. We take great pride in the fact that Greenbank remains a small, personal operation — we know every horse and every owner by name.

The improvements we have made over the years — from the covered yards and loose boxes to the all-weather arenas and managed grazing — have all been driven by a simple goal: to provide the best possible environment for horses and their owners.
